Your attraction is to the Word

I have been teaching on faith for the last several weeks, here on the blog and on the radio. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. But, you have to hear the Word of God and if you hear anything else, faith in God won’t come. Faith is your channel to the supernatural. It is your channel to the power and ability of God. Jesus knew this. Him knowing this is evidenced in Matthew  4:1-10 as we see when satan tempted Him, Jesus’ response was to tell satan what was written. There is a lesson in that to us. When the devil brings thoughts and ideas to our minds that are not of God and tries to get us to tell a lie, mistreat a friend or coworker or take something that doesn’t belong to us, we should come at satan with what is written, which is the Word of God.

You attraction shouldn’t be to choirs, clothes, certain people or the things that they do. You should see the Christ in them and the Christ in them is what draws the Christ in you. What that means is that you recognize when you see another part of the body. We are the body of Christ of which Christ is the head and all of the parts of the body work together seamlessly to accomplish the will of the Father. The lesson here is that when you find yourself attracted to a singer, musician, preacher or church, ask yourself what is attracting you? Is the Word taught or sung attracting you or are you being led by the flesh – the lust of your eyes? God has so much for you to access through the channel of faith, but growth in faith is required. Send us a note or reply to this post. We look forward to hearing from you.   stwteachingministry.com
