I have been led to teach on faith. Faith has been talked about casually in circles but in many instances, the force that is faith has not been talked about or experienced in a way to bring about the abundance or fullness of God’s ability.

God’s favor and ability on your life is manifold. He says in I Peter 5:10 that He is the God of all grace. There is more of Him available for you and more grace to do for you what you are unable to do for yourself. That’s why you understanding faith is so important.

Faith is the vehicle through which grace works. I like to look at faith as a channel to the supernatural. Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things that are unseen.  Let’s talk about this verse some.

Faith is a substance. That means it is a real thing – but it’s not a tangible, touchable, feely kinda thing – faith is the substance of the thing that you hope to have. Hope can be defined as expectation. So, faith is the substance of the thing that you expect. You expect it because God promised it to you. Faith is you knowing you have it before it actually manifests.

Let me give you an example. You may be believing God for a car and you know that God is going to get you a car. An act of faith would be to go and buy an air freshener for the car or some car care products. You don’t actually have the physical car, but you have God’s Word on it and you are acting in faith – in other words you know the car is made available in the supernatural and all you have to do is get it from the supernatural to manifestation in the natural.

Faith is also evidence of what you cannot see. Growing in God teaches you that the supernatural is more real than the natural. God is spirit and the real you is a spirit. First Thessalonians 5:23 teaches us that we are spirit, soul and body. Because we are made in the image of God, we are first spirit. In order to understand faith you have to be in the spirit and taught by the Spirit of God. Faith pleases God, so it is important for you to understand faith and how it works. Evidence of what you can’t see is what God told you. This isn’t a “show me the evidence” kind of thing, it is more of a “I trust God” kind of thing. The evidence is God’s Word – and that’s more evidence than any tangible thing that exists.

I hope these introductory comments help you understand faith. List to our radio broadcast on Wed at noon eastern time on heaven98.3 FM 1401AM iheart internet radio for more information on faith. We will be teaching on this most of the month of February. God bless you.
