Don’t live in it . . .

What has happened in 2015 has happened. We can’t change it – we can’t undo it – we have to learn from it and move forward. Philippians 3:13-14 teach us that we have to strain or reach for the things that are to come. That means that forgetting what was in the past can be difficult. In fact, the devil is always around to remind us of a failure that occupied our thoughts and affected our countenance.

You have that neighbor, family member or friend who is around to tell you in detail of your failures and your short comings. It is as if they draw pictures for you to make sure that you don’t forget.

God has more for you but you have to stretch forward to reach it. God finished His work of building the world and then He rested. That did not mean that He was tired, it just meant that He was finished. When Jesus finished restoring man back to God He declared that His work was finished. God has completed His work in you for 2016 before 2016 started! He just wants us to “walk in and walk out” what He has called us to be and do as He gives us His wisdom and direction.

What we can’t do is allow what happened last year to prevent us from moving forward into God’s will for us in 2016. Ask God to forgive you, if you were outside of His will for your life. Go to the Scriptures and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you and give you His wisdom as to how you should proceed in 2016.

For those of you considering new relationships or marriage in 2016 we have a new book on titled “Relationships and Marriage: Messages to My Daughters”. This book is available as an ebook as well as in paperback. We invite you to take a read!
