It is important for us to remember that God has an expectation of us. Jeremiah 29:11 talks about the expect end that He has for us. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith and God is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning and the end. That means that God finished His work before He started it! What that means for you is that He finished the work He called you to do before you even started the work! God has equipped you to do what He has already finished in you.

Micah 6:8 teaches us that God has shown us what is good and His requirement for us is to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Him. There is so much for us to learn in this verse of scripture. What I want to point out here is that He wants us to walk humbly WITH Him. Walking humbly with Him means that you look to Him for wisdom, guidance and instruction as you seek to fulfill His purpose in you. God has an expectation for you and through Him you will be able to meet that expectation. He has positioned people all through your life to help you fulfill His purpose and once you yield to His leading, you can begin to work His purpose in you.

Working His purpose in you is working the abundant life that Jesus came for us to enjoy. In other words, when you work for God where He calls you, how He calls you and when He calls you, He will give you earthly resources to do the job and excess for you to enjoy your life.  You may have heard the football phrase, “leave it on the field” or “die empty”. What that means is that you want to work you purpose to the fullest and when you go to be with God you will have done all that He has called you to do on this side. Meet God’s expectations for you!
