Say what God says

I think one of the biggest problems Christians have is getting caught up in their opinions and feelings when being confronted by those outside of the body of Christ. We have to understand that when we are verbally attacked by those outside of the Kingdom of God, that the Word of God is our only weapon. (Ephesians 6:10-28) If someone asks you what you “think” about something, or what “your opinion” is, the thing to do is respond by saying the Bible says in this book and chapter and verse . . . and tell them if they have a problem with that to take it up with God, not you. WE ARE NOT DEFENDERS OF THE WORD OF GOD. We are supposed to PREACH the Gospel when it is popular and when it is not. (Matthew 28:16-20 and 2 Timothy 4:2-3) The Word of God itself is what is profitable for reproof, correction, rebuke and instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) Correction by the Word is what brings man into perfection and makes him thoroughly furnished for the Kingdom of God.

When Saul was converted to Paul, Jesus asked him why was he persecuting Him. (Acts 22:7) Saul’s persecuting and killing Christians really was an attack on Christ’s body! So you see that when an unbeliever attacks you for standing on the Word of God, that person is attacking God. God can defend Himself! Think about it. The creation does not need to defend the creator. The Spirit of God will show you just what to say in that situation and it will be right and it will be in love. You may be persecuted, talked about, lied on and hated , but remember they hated Jesus and they crucified Him.

If you are a Christian you must not align yourself with the world’s thinking even if it is popular. Christians shouldn’t put rainbows over their profile pictures and Christians shouldn’t be talking about love winning anything. We win only in Christ – even over death, we win. (I Corinthians 15:57) Say what God says. Romans 1:24-32 teach us clearly God’s will concerning the natural use of male and female genders, and that’s not the only scripture. Anything other than that is against God and when Christians align themselves with what is against God, they put themselves in a place to receive the wrath of God.

Let me make this clear. When people align themselves with the world’s ideas, they are saying that they don’t believe the Word of God. They are telling God He is a liar and they make the work of Jesus nothing. They are saying that they side with the creation and turn their backs on their creator God. What makes it worse is that they are supposed to be Christians. How are they going to be a Christians – in church on Sunday and Bible study on Wed and then supporting things that are against the Word of God? It is evil and it is dark. It is a place where the voice of God gets further and further away. In other words, there can be a siding against God so much so that eyes and ears become blind to the Word of God and people really begin to think their way is right. (Proverbs 14:12) That way seems right to a man but at the end of that way is death. Death alone should let them know that way has to be contrary to God because in God there is life and peace. Romans 8:6 teaches us that a mind governed by the flesh is death, but one governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

God’s will is His Word. He has given us His Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. (John 16:13) That means that the Spirit of God will show you – step by step the will of God for your life. He has an abundant life for you (John 10:10), but that abundance is God’s way, God’s timing and in the place where He gave you vision and work for the Kingdom. If we were more concerned about the work that God called us to do on the earth, we wouldn’t have time to side with every wind of doctrine that passes our way. (Ephesians 4:14)
