We tend to hear Psalm 105:15 quoted all of the time. Many times it is in reference to a Christian being mad about something and feeling attacked by either a fellow believer or by someone outside of the Kingdom of God. Let’s look at Psalm 105:13-15

13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Psalm 105 talks about God’s commitment to His people. I want you to see here that His commitment goes far beyond just protection from harm. God’s commitment is to provide all that you will ever need in this life to live the abundant life and do the work that He called you to do. So, not only did He say don’t touch my anointed ones – he wouldn’t let anyone do them wrong and he even reproved kings for their sakes! That means that he chastised people in power for dealing wrongly with His people.

Well, we are His people! That means that God’s got your back as long as you are operating in Christ and in the love of Christ. God has you set up such that no one will be able to touch you, not even your boss who can’t stand you and doesn’t understand how you can have a smile on your face everyday and treat everyone with love and respect at work when you haven’t gotten a raise in 10 years and your work environment is far from peaceful. Rest in the fact that God called you for purpose. He is your provider as well as your protector!
