On the way home yesterday I saw a man and a woman and a toddler that I would say was probably 2 years old or so. I was in my vehicle and the child was next to the road with the adults at least a good twenty feet ahead of the child beckoning him to come on. All I could think about was that child getting hit by a car.
We as parents are not to give place to the devil concerning our children. The devil wants our children. We see year after year how he has killed children, and used other children to kill children. You can see that with all of the school shootings that we have seen. I believe that we see what we see partly because of parental disregard to raising children by the Word of God. Anytime you put the advice of a psychologist, school board, TV personality or author above the Word of God, you have moved to a place away from God’s protection. Look at 2 Thessalonians 3:3. It teaches us that God will protect us from the evil one. Well, we have to be attentive to God for him to protect us. His protection comes by us listening to and being obedient to His Holy Spirit. Children are given to our charge and if we don’t raise them according to the Word and protect them and nurture and encourage them, we tie God’s hand from working on their behalf. When you see children successful when their parents have all but neglected them, you are seeing children that are being prayed for by grandmamma, granddaddy, pastors, church members, aunties, uncles, friends and others. For we know the Bible says that God will be a father to the fatherless. See Psalm 68:5. So, it’s not cute when kids act up. It’s not cute to leave kids alone when adult supervision is needed. Seek God as to how you should raise your children. Reply to this post or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
