Matching clothes is beyond just being cute

Revelation today during service. Little man and I dressed exactly the same. I looked at him and then I looked at me and the Lord said, “that is what it supposed to be. You have to be the example to him as to how he should dress or else the world will be his example.”  So many times kids are dressed like parents and it is considered cute. Well, it may be cute but it goes far beyond that. Let’s go to the Word here. Proverbs 22:6 teaches us to train up a child in the way he should go. . . and that includes what the child should wear. The devil has gotten so much ground here. He has attacked the covenant of marriage such that the norm now is to have children outside of the marriage covenant and for the father to not be in the home. How can the father be an example if he is not living in the home with the son. Yes, child support is helpful and yes, being in your child’s life is better than not, but God’s plan is for you to be under the same roof with your son and you should be the Christ that he sees. I Corinthians 11:1 says follow me as I follow Christ. The daddy should be following Christ and the son’s example should be the daddy until the son receives Jesus and learns how to believe the Word and trust God for himself. So, the daddy should be an example for the son as to what the son should wear. If you don’t train your children as to what they should wear under the leading of the Word . . . the world will teach them what to wear and how to act, and remember that the world’s way is the way of the enemy and will lead to destruction and death.
