I have been watching CNN this afternoon and I have seen how some folks plan . . . and God has made it obvious that their plan is to deceive, hinder and self-serve. Self-serving is not of God. Philippians 2:1-8 teaches us much in this area of service to others . . . and that is what our goal should be, to serve others. Serving others is a way that we show that we esteem others higher than we do ourselves.
Well, what exactly do we mean when we say the Word of God is a word that fits? Hebrews 4:12 teaches us that the Word of God is alive and full of power. Let’s stop right there in that verse before we move on. God’s Word is living. It has to be living because John 1:1 teaches us that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus was at the beginning before all things and Jesus IS the Word of God. Let’s look at the second part of Hebrews 4:12, which teaches us that the Word can judge the attitudes and thoughts of the heart. This gets at the meat of what we are talking about here. You can walk so close with God that you can tell the intentions of people . . . the Lord will give you wisdom and understanding such that you know the intent of man . . . and from knowing the intent of man, you can make decisions that will further the Kingdom, protect your family, save your job, restore your marriage, save your home, etc. What a wonderful God. A God that made it so that we can know the direction we should take based on His Holy Spirit that dwells on the inside of us. If you are not saved, it’s time to get saved and begin to walk out that purpose that God has for your life. As you grow in Christ you will find that the Word of God fits every situation . . . it is a Word that fits. Send us a reply or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
