Trust in relationships

Do you have to look at the cell phone to know that there is no cheating going on? Do you have to know where this person is at all times just to make sure no one else is being kissed or flirted with? To trust someone is to have full confidence in that person. Let’s think about our relationship with God. Psalms 125:1-2 talks about God surrounding His people . . . and the people of God being stable because they trust God. A relationship will not stand if there is no trust. If you can’t trust the person, you really shouldnt try to be with him or her. You should trust God completely and know that He will take care of you . . . when you trust God completely, then under His direction you can trust the person He has for you. Realize the root cause of mistrust.  It is the devil and his plan is to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10) He wants to destroy your relationship so he’s going to tell you that your significant other is not faithful whether it’s true or not. Trust begins with God.  If you are single, before you put your trust in a person, put your trust in God and allow Him to be the director of your path.
