The last post to the blog was about vision (revelation) and how we should write down the visions that God gives us. I want to tell you about visions and dreams and how they can be protection for your children. Don’t misunderstand me here, the enemy can send you some dreams too . . . if you get something take it to God. If it is from God it will line up with His word and the encounter will leave you empowered . . . you can’t have an encounter with God and not be left empowered and invigorated. Let me say too that the Spirit of God is not limited to using dreams as a way to communicate . . . He speaks through the Word (Bible), directly to your human spirit and through other believers . . .
So how are you going to protect your children from evil and hatred . . . the truth of the matter is, you can’t. You can by the biggest gun and keep them (children) under lock and key, but you will never be able to fully protect them. God can show you how to protect your kids if you will listen to Him. My wife and I have had dreams about our oldest in distressful situations . . . we sought God’s wisdom concerning those dreams and have followed through with discussing issues that we felt led to discuss (that day) with our child. What we’ve learned is that God is warning us about potential danger that our child may encounter.
This is a critical area here . . . so yes, God can warn you of impending trouble. The key in staying out of trouble depends on 2 things:
- Listening to the Spirit of God when He’s talking to you
- Acting on the instruction that He is giving you (Do what He says do!)
James 1:22 talks about being a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only. This is so critical – you have to DO what the Spirit of God is telling you to get the results that He promises . . . The closer you walk with God, the closer He’ll walk with you. Study scriptures on provision and protection for your children and trust God and you will find Him faithful.
You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Psalm 31:20
