Genesis 1:27 teaches that we are created in the image of God. Being created in the image of the almighty, all powerful God means that He cares about you so much, that He wanted you to look like Him and be like Him in the earth. So if we are created in His image why are there people who are powerless, unattractive on the outside and just not so pretty on the inside? It’s because of Adam. Genesis 3:17-19 tell us that death came into the world because Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden. Sickness, death, poverty, lack, ugliness (inside & out), depression, hopelessness, feelings of worthlessness are all linked to death, which means that they are of the enemy, not God. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came that we might have LIFE and have it (LIFE) more abundantly. Your worthiness is tied to your salvation. Getting saved (Romans 10:9,10) means that you accept Jesus’ sacrifice, and by confessing and believing, your worth has been restored. In other words you will be like Adam and Eve before they sinned. God calls you what He sees you as; healed, whole, protected, preserved, prosperous, walking in abundance – through life in His presence. You are worth far more than you know. Realize your worth and be about the purpose that God has called you to!
