You know that it is not really your job to make sure others understand your point of view. You really can’t “make” someone understand you. Do you really have to? Many times when we are making a point with someone, we don’t even take the time to hear “their” side of the story. We are so busy making our point (and we just happen to be right with all that we say) that we can’t possibly listen to anyone else. Proverbs 18:17 teaches that person 1 sounds right until you start to hear person 2 speak. If you know you are right, then what’s the harm of letting the other person get their point across before retorting? Jesus never had to argue His point. The reason He didn’t was because the Word was His point, and His Word is truth(John 17:17), so what is there to argue? For those who don’t understand, the Holy Spirit will reveal it to them if they truly desire to know. Speak the truth of God’s Word in love. The Word doesnt have to be defended or protected. Hebrews 4:12 teaches that the Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. The Word of God will stand and will accomplish what God sent it to do.
